K. David Epley, M.D.

Ophthalmologist

Dr. David Epley received his undergraduate education at Whitman College and his medical training at the Oregon Health Sciences University. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. He was fellowship-trained in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at St. Louis Children's Hospital, part of Washington University in St. Louis. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and an active participant in Maintenance of Certification. He sub-specializes in comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology.

Vy T. Mai O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. Vy Mai received her undergraduate degree from Oregon State University and her Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She is glaucoma certified and has great interest in myopia (nearsightedness) management methods such as using soft multifocal contact lenses or hard gas-permeable overnight contact lenses (orthokeratology) that temporarily reshape the front surface of the eye (cornea).

Lauren Laman, LDO

Optician

Lauren is a licensed optician with 10 years of experience in eye care and is both ABO and NCLE certified.  She spent her early years in Seattle, before moving to Traverse City, Michigan. She graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2011 and was then overjoyed to move back to the Pacific Northwest. Lauren joined us at Children’s Eye Care in 2022.

Callie Wengert

Optical Assistant

Callie grew up in Oregon and attended Chemeketa Community College for 2 years. Unsure of what she wanted to do next, she took a break and found herself in Washington. She joined Children's Eye Care in 2022 as a receptionist while exploring the next steps in her career. As she became familiar with the practice and found how rewarding it was to help children see better and become the best versions of themselves, she made her way over to the optical department in 2023 as an optician.
